Our story

Ancient grains, modern convenience, better health

Vasudhara began when a family got tired of reading ingredient lists they could not explain to their children — and of watching authentic South Indian cooking lose out to whatever was quickest on a weekday.

Karnataka grows extraordinary millet, pulses and oilseed. Most of it leaves the state, gets polished or refined somewhere far away, and comes back stripped of the very things that made it worth growing. We buy directly from farms within a few hours of Mysore, blend in small batches, and put the batch on the pack so you can check our work.

Our products are traditional recipes — bisi bele bath, khara and sweet pongal, a flaxseed nutri mix — not westernised health food. What changed is the grain underneath and the convenience on top: little millet in place of polished rice, and ten to fifteen minutes from pack to plate.

01

Whole Food

Every ingredient is a real, recognisable food — millet, dhal, seed, nut, jaggery. No isolates, no fillers, no maltodextrin standing in for substance.

02

Traditionally Inspired

Authentic South Indian recipes in a convenient format. The spice blends are ground in small batches, and the method is the one a Mysore kitchen would use.

03

Science Formulated

Nutrient data is calculated from IFCT 2020 (NIN) and benchmarked against ICMR RDA. Recipe ratios are optimised statistically, then confirmed on the finished blend.

04

Clean Label

The ingredient list on our packs is the whole truth, in plain words. No colours, no synthetic flavours, no preservatives, no MSG, no refined sugar.

Sourcing

Every pack points back to a field

The QR code on the back panel opens the sourcing record for that batch: the farm cluster, the harvest window, the pressing or milling date, and the lab report. The barcode beside it is for the shop counter; the QR code is for you.
